Department Footer

A brand new feature in SSU D9 is the Department Footer.  If you look at the bottom of the page in this Sandbox, you'll see a sample of what the department footer looks like.

There are 4 block regions:

• Footer Branding - this is where you'll add your department name, and the school or division.
• Contact Us - for the basic contact details, like building and room, SSU's street address, hours for the department office, main email address and phone number.
• Quick Links - a list of links.  These might be links to pages that are 2nd or 3rd level items in your department menu that you want to make eaiser to find, or link to other relevant SSU pages.
• Footer Social - this is where you add links to your department's social media.  We support Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and TikTok.  You can also add up to two buttons.  This could be used for your Give/Donations link, or some other page or site.

These blocks are "reusable,"  meaning that you edit them once, and use them on multiple pages.  In this case, we're putting them in your site's Footer region on all nodes.

For now, only Drupal administrators can update Department Footer blocks, but in the near future, Content editors will be able to edit these directly.
